Impossible

Impossible - Nancy Werlin I don’t even know where to begin. This book is incredible. Actually there’s really no words to describe this book. What really drew me to this book was that there were multiple genres in one book. It’s different which I think is awesome because it’s original. There is mystery, fantasy, romance, and horror. I’ve never cried while reading a book and this book put me so close to tears. I loved that the entire book was based on a song by Simon and Garfunkel. We come to find out there are many actual versions of this song.

Impossible may have fantasy involved in it, but the author Nancy Werlin makes it seem that everything really could be true. I really connected with the main character, Lucy, because of teen pregnancy and the situation she was forced into. I also liked her because she didn’t hide anything from her family, and she was logical. She made a couple mistakes, but really couldn’t help those. Then there is Zach…oh Zach! I believe he is my favorite YA boy. It’s impossible not to fall in love with him. He’s brave, smart, handsome, and romantic. Actually in my notes as I was reading, I wrote down “Zach – Amazing!” Throughout the book I was really interested in his relationship with Lucy.

I suggest this book to everyone and anyone. I can’t wait for Nancy Werlin’s next book Extraordinary. You can really tell she puts a lot of thought and time into her work.

The Cover: I love the model on the front cover. She is just how I pictured Lucy looking. It’s hard to talk about the cover without giving anything away because it is all significant in the book. I can say that I love the red dress. It is kind of historical and modern which ties everything together.
