I thought this book was wonderful! It was written so well. I love how Jenna Black incorporated pop culture references such as the Jonas Brothers and Ugly Betty. It made the book more likable and humorous. Jenna Black's imagination brought out an entire new world of politics in a magic country. Because some of it would be confusing in reality, Black made it very easy to understand inGlimmerglass.
Dana Hathaway was my favorite character. It was very easy to relate to her. Since she has many problems going on at home, she had to grow up quick and mature faster than kids her age. She also mentioned putting her feelings aside to deal with later. This definitely reminded me of myself.
I also admired that humans knew about faeries and Avalon. I liked how it was just basically another country, but with magic. Humans can go there to live which I thought was neat. The language used was also realistic and up to date which is why I laughed out loud at most parts because of how funny Dana could be in her thought process.
As for the boys: I can't wait to find out what happens in the next books. The book kinds ends where her journey as being a faeriewalker begins, so I am excited to see what happens. There are two boys and sometimes I disliked both and sometimes I really liked both of them. I don't know what to think, so it will be interesting to see how that happens!
The Cover: I love the cover and how there are two faces of Dana which reflects how she is a different person in a different world. I also loved how it actually glimmers!
